Learners are faced with the challenges of a constantly growing knowledge base, combined with multiple, competing information sources. There are many technologies currently being used in diabetes education, including podcasts, which are often shared in SoundCloud. Podcasts are audio files distributed by way of the Internet to share information asynchronously. In this sense, SoundCloud is a social audio platform launched in 2008 that allows users to create and share sounds across the web. So, music and audio creators use SoundCloud to share their content with a global audience, as well as receive detailed access listener statistics and feedback from the SoundCloud community. This work aimed to analyze the general characteristics and metrics of podcast production and podcast sharing on a educational diabetes page in the social network SoundCloud.
