About d-net

D-NET was launched by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) in September 2010 as an international diabetes network for health professionals. Since then D-NET has grown into an online network of over 12,000 members from 188 countries. As a member of D-NET you are part of a dynamic community of diabetes professionals interested in improving their practice and learning from other professionals from around the globe. In 2015 the platform was completely redesigned and re-launched to better fit the needs of its members. D-NET provides its members with bi-weekly discussions led by international experts, an interactive library and a global event calendar.

Improving the health outcomes for people with diabetes is one of the strategic goals of IDF. Educating health professionals is one of the most effective means to reach this goal. Besides providing education, D-NET will allow health professionals to share their concerns and priorities in diabetes care, so the Member Associations of the International Diabetes Federation can together act upon these matters.
