The Dominican Republic will host the XVII Congress of the Latin American Diabetes Association (ALAD).

The event will bring together Latin American professionals working in diabetes to exchange and assess the regional progress that has been made in the areas of diabetes research, clinical experience and scientific performance.

The main topics at the Congress will include prevention and updates on recent research advances and treatment perspectives related to diabetes and cardiovascular disease and the other multiple complications associated with diabetes. ALAD will also release its most recent Consensus Statements, Guidelines and academic position statements at the Congress.
