This project directly fits within our mission statement objectives, which are as follows: to provide outstanding educational programs for training current and future health professionals; to develop outstanding clinicians and investigators who are lifelong learners, who will provide the highest quality of culturally competent care and who will serve the needs of their community and the word in the best traditions of our profession; to conduct innovative and collaborative research and integrate this knowledge into the practice of medicine; to advance the early detection, treatment and prevention of disease; and to ensure the highest ethical and professional standards in all our endeavors. Through these objectives, the Emory School of Medicine furthers health care providers’ abilities to deliver quality health care, predict illness, treat the sick and promote the health of our patients and our community.
