IDF side event to the World Health Assembly
   
The 69th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) – the decision-making body of WHO - takes place in Geneva from 18 to 26 May 2016. In order to reaffirm its position as the global advocate for people with diabetes, IDF will be present at WHA and will co-organise one of the official side events taking place during the week.

The side event “The Food Revolution: accelerating national progress on tackling child obesity and child under-nutrition in a sustainable way” (title to be confirmed) will be hosted by several UN Member States such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, UK and USA at the Palais des Nations on Monday 23rd May evening. The event, that will count with the participation of various Ministers of Health and chef and campaigner Jamie Oliver as speakers, will aim at creating a space to discuss current country actions to improve child nutrition and exchanging national targets and best practice experiences.
