The Becoming a Diabetes Educator course, now in its 10th year, takes place at the University of California San Francisco, January 29-31, 2016. Any health professional looking for a comprehensive update, or preparing for the Certified Diabetes Educator examination, will find this course valuable. It’s appropriate for nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, or anyone caring for people with diabetes. The program is eligible for 24 contact hours of Continuing Education credit.

Our team of experts will teach effective approaches to promote behavior change and self-management. Topics include nutrition, physical activity, pharmacological management, diabetes in kids, pregnancy and older adults, complications, monitoring and pattern management, psychological considerations, and more.
