This free half-day workshop will enable delegates to improve the communication skills of their teams. It has been organised by members of the Global Partnership for Effective Diabetes Management -a multidisciplinary task force of international experts committed to improving outcomes for people with diabetes (www.effectivediabetesmanagement.com). Facilitated by Shane Perry (a communications coach) with Professor Cliff Bailey and Marg McGill, this workshop will involve a series of presentations, challenging scenarios and interactive discussions aimed at improving physicians’ communication skills and increasing awareness of the positive impact this may have upon outcomes among people with diabetes.
