Diabetes and CVD are both global epidemics and currently among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly affecting the populations of low- and middle-income populations. As the number of people with diabetes continue to increase, the outlook for CVD becomes even more alarming.

Taking Diabetes to Heart is a new multi-country study, focused on CVD awareness and knowledge among people living with type 2 diabetes. It is available in multiple languages (English, French, Spanish, Chinese & Dutch), targeted at people living with type 2 diabetes. The initial results of the survey will be presented at the IDF Congress 2017 in Abu Dhabi

We encourage you to share the survey with your peers and any relevant organisation in your country to assist in the data collection and to direct it to the target audience. For more details on how you can support the study and any questions regarding the survey, please contact takingdiabetes2heart@idf.org
