The Scientific Sessions brings together over 14,000 participants with a global presence from 124 countries. The program will feature the most timely and significant advances in basic science and the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes. The program includes five days of comprehensive, unparalleled education through symposia, oral abstract sessions, interest group discussions, meet-the-expert sessions, and special lectures and addresses. In addition, more than 2,000 abstracts will be featured as poster presentations.

• Lydia Makaroff: Estimates of Diabetes Prevalence in the North America and Caribbean Region
• Joao Fernandes: Health Care Expenditures due to Diabetes in North America and the Caribbean
Joao Fernandes’ research was also selected to be showcased in a Guided Audio Poster Tour titled From Greater Costs to Greater Value—Evaluations of Diabetes Care Delivery on Monday, 8 June 2015, 13:00 - 14:00.
